Columbia Woman 'Felt the Earth Move'

It was just before dinner and Mary Hernandez was enjoying the quiet as her children played at a neighbor's house. The Columbia mother of three was thinking about her husband, Rick, working at his computer across the hall. They hadn't had much time for one another lately, and intimacy all but died after their third child was born in February.

For his part, Rick was also distracted, though his mind was on other things. His consulting business was slow and there were bills due.

"We were both feeling vulnerable and lonely and then we were embracing and it just happened," Mary told friends in her moms social media group. She described the next 41 seconds as the most incredible of her life.

"It began down deep, a low steady vibe with building intensity. I could feel it in every nerve of my body. In seconds the whole bed was shaking and the floorboards were creaking. I threw myself on top of Rick, and felt the earth move," Mary said.

In the immediate aftermath, Mary took to Facebook to share the news. "I thought after something like that he'd want to hold me, but Rick fell asleep right afterwards," she said.
