Maryland Officials Flaunt Pornhub Insights
The 2023 Pornhub Year in Review Insights are out, and Maryland scored big, boastful state leaders exposed this week.
In the national rankings for time spent per visit to the adult video website, Maryland was first in the country at 11 minutes 31 seconds. If Maryland was a country, it would have outpaced first-place Philippines by 15 seconds. "With our consistency, strength and stamina, Marylanders are hard to beat," boasted Gov. Wes Moore (D).
Praise for the Free State's accomplishment was bi-partisan. "Longevity and endurance, exemplified by the likes of Unitas, Ripken, and Phelps, keeps Marylanders leading on the edge," said perennial GOP candidate and sports fanatic Robin 'DL' Ficker (R).
In its breakdown of keywords by state, Pornhub reported "gloryhole" was the most searched term among Marylanders, a distinction held by no other state in the nation. Maryland leaders say it proves the success of the state's wide stance policies.
"Just as we learned during the AIDS situation, being a gloryhole friendly state is how you lead the nation," Moore said.
Maryland's Department of Commerce singled out Love It Lingerie, Inc. and their chain of Lovecraft boutiques for making gloryholes infectious throughout Maryland. "With the support of local businesses like Lovecraft, our state was the leading cultivator of the gloryhole genre this year, and Marylanders reciprocated," said Commerce Secretary Kevin Anderson.
The Department estimates gloryholes bring 212 million dollars in out-of-state revenue to Maryland each year. Lovecraft Laurel manager, Milt Jissom, says half of his store's visitors come from less gloryhole accepting DC and Virginia. "I gotta bark at the locals to keep dropping coin but the tourists are easy," he said.
While leaders were quick to boast of Maryland's Pornhub Insights, Moore warns against complacency. "As we bask in the glory and enjoy being on top, let us not forget that next year we could easily hit bottom."
