Dunkin’ Home to Pilot in Montgomery County
Dunkin' Donuts LLC announced today that Montgomery County, Maryland has been chosen as the pilot area for its latest service option, Dunkin’ Home. Eligible customers can have personalized Dunkin’ service at any ground-level window of their residence.
Fueled by customer demand, Dunkin’ has surged into the Montgomery County fast food scene in recent years, opening new stores at breakneck pace. Six new stores were announced just last week, giving Dunkin’ 2,631 locations county-wide. In November the company inked a deal to cater MCPS cafeterias.
With Dunkin’ Home, the chain’s most loyal customers can access caffeinated and sugary meals, beverages, and snacks 24/7 from the convenience of home and with the freshness of an in-store experience. “I can’t wait. No more shitty K-cup for my first java of the day,” said Agnes Dolorous of North Gaithersburg, who instead plans to start mornings with Signature Lattes, caramel drizzle and whipped cream.
For those like Dolorous who can’t function without that first cup, Dunkin’ Home can be installed through vanity mirrors on any exterior wall. “I love starting my day with Chantal from Dunkin’. She’s always smiling, and I get my coffee two seconds after I finish peeing,” said Nicole Levin from Clarksburg.
Levin relies on Dunkin’ Home for after-school snacks when her latch-key kids get home. “Having Dunkin’ Home when I’m not around gives peace of mind, and they help with math homework too.”
To be eligible for Dunkin’ Home, you must be a Montgomery County resident who has maintained “boosted” status on the Dunkin’ App for the past two months. Boosted status is awarded to those who make twelve or more Dunkin’ store visits monthly. Dunkin’ officials say that about two-thirds of the county’s 1.1 million residents meet eligibility requirements.
