MoCo Experience Cruise Sets Sail Next Spring

Sixx Cool Moms and The MoCo Show are bringing their followers together next spring for "The MoCo Experience Cruise," a three-day Montgomery County immersive excursion aboard the American Symphony riverboat.

"It's going to be a 72-hour party on the Sixx Cool Moms-MoCo Show cruise, a chance for moms--and spouses--to let loose without ever leaving the DMV," said Sixx Cool Moms founder Jenna Liu.

"On the MoCo Show-Sixx Cool Moms cruise, we'll be celebrating Montgomery County culture at every turn--meals, recreation and entertainment," said Alex "Mr MoCo" Tsironis, founder of The Moco Show.

The party starts the moment of launch from White's Ferry Landing and doesn't stop until the 175-passenger, five-deck, luxury riverboat sails south to Hains Point, navigates the Anacostia River to Northwest Branch, and makes final landing at Sligo lochs in Takoma Park.

Relax and Rejuvenate

Start and end each day in Jenna's Cannabis and Collagen Cafe, where guests cough until the wrinkles pop and giggle while they're wiped away. Enjoy sativa-inspired Montgomery Donuts at the Sunrise Wake-n-Bake and order favorites from the Tastee Diner menu at Midnight Munchies.

For those seeking more activity, learn what makes Montgomery County unique on a morning, afternoon and evening brisk stroll with Lenny the Olney Walking Guy on the SkyWalk open-air track encircling the ship.

MoCo Dining Favorites

Alex's Pizza Paradise Buffet on the third deck features the best rectangular, flaky-crusted, sweet-sauced pizza in the state, flown in hot by drone 24/7 (yes, those drones) from Stained Glass Pub, Gentlemen Jim's, Ledo and the only remaining Pizza Oven in PG county.

If pizza isn't your thing, Taste of Old Wheaton restaurant on deck four offers less cultured cuisine. Start with garlicky escargot from the Ambassador and a salad created from Ferdinand's 144 item salad bar, then delight in a surf-and-turf main course featuring Sir Walter Raleigh's prime rib and crab imperial from Anchor Inn.

Local Entertainment with a Twist

Enjoy nightly laughs in the Give a Shit comedy club, where local entertainers accustomed to toning it down for a POC audience let loose.

Interfaith Comedy Tour founder Carmiya Weinraub warms up the crowd with jokes that make Jews laugh and everyone else uncomfortable. The adult diapers sail across the room when headliner Eric Knaus, better known as The Great Zucchini, reveals how he really got that name in an NC-17 rated version of his beloved kids party schtick.

Exotic Ports of Call

Day two of the MoCo Experience Cruise features a stop at the Tidal Basin, where guests can disembark for a once-in-a-lifetime tour of DC monuments without relatives in tow.

Before turning up the Anacostia, many guests will step foot in mysterious Virginia for the first time when the ship drops anchor at Potomac Yard. "Rumor is they have things we don't, but I'm skeptical," Tsironis said.

Guests adventuring in Virginia are reminded to stock up on things unavailable on the other side of the Potomac. Lui suggests "gummies, Mifepristone, and for those without VPN, a little porn."
