Chuck E Lactofree’s Signs Installed at Leisure World Plaza
Signage for Chuck E Lactofree’s was installed this week at the chain's newest Montgomery County location, the Leisure World Plaza in Silver Spring. The pizza, game and entertainment center opens next month.
Created for Boomers and Gen Xers wistful for the birthday parties they threw for their kids, Chuck E Lactofree’s is a new twist on an old favorite, combining cuisine AARP members can stomach with coin-operated video game fun that muscle-memory makes possible.
Everything on the menu is lactose-free, and many items are dairy-free. Five pizza 'cheese' alternatives to dairy include almond, coconut, oat, rice, and cashew. Gluten-free birthday cakes crafted from coconut milk and oil are topped with fluffy vegan butter buttercream.
Chuck E Lactofree’s recreates the golden age of video game arcades from the late 1970s and early 1980s. Space Invaders, Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, and Asteroids line the game room, along with rows of Bally pinball and vintage Skee-Ball machines. Prize tickets are redeemable for everything from Palm styluses to ultrasonic denture cleaners.
For birthdays and celebrations, Chuck E Lactofree’s offers the Just Resting My Eyes Party Room with twenty La-Z-Boy electric recliners and three 84-inch TVs looping classic episodes of Matlock.
"We can't wait to welcome our Leisure World neighbors next month," said Chuck E Lactofree’s manager Angus Hereford. Birthday party reservations for septuagenarians and above can be booked now at chuckelactofrees.com.
