New and Coming Soon to Leisure World Plaza

Here’s a rundown of recently opened and upcoming restaurants and businesses in the Leisure World Plaza (3800 International Dr) in Silver Spring:

Snakehead Bistro: Maryland's most feared invasive species is also delicious. "If you can't beat them, eat them," is the motto of Snakehead Bistro, where Maryland's beloved 'Blackwater Pike' main courses are coupled with imported plant favorites like Japanese knotweed salad and kudzu roasted with garlic mustard. Snakehead Bistro takes over the vacant space next to Nancy's Kitchen in September. First time guests will receive Snakehead's signature Nutria Nuggets appetizer complimentary with the purchase of any entree.

Rockville BMX & Skate: Dust of your PK Rippers, Mongooses, and Diamond Backs. Rockville BMX, the legendary BMX mecca of the 1980s, is coming back after a more than 30-year hiatus. Along with skateboard section boasting the largest inventory on the east coast, store owners received building permit approval for a 2,500 sq surface foot skatepark in the breezeway adjacent to the Ledo Pizza outdoor patio. Rockville BMX & Skate will occupy the space formerly housing Goldtone Jewelers. Store owners say their October grand opening and skateboard tournament hosted by Tony Hawk and Jeff Tremaine is expected to draw tens of thousands.

Colostomology Designs: With brands spanning the fashion spectrum from Gap to Gucci, Colostomology Designs converts fart sacks into fashion statements. "Whether it’s classic denim Levi's or Swarovski bedazzled silk from Prada, we're your one stop shop," says owner Egesta Ordure. Colostomology Designs moved into the building previously occupied by PNC, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Capitol One, Truist, and Sandy Spring National Bank earlier this month.

Lovecraft Leisure World: Love It Lingerie, Inc. will open its seventh Maryland location, Lovecraft Leisure World, in August. The adult video, lingerie and novelty store has more than 10,000 DVD titles in stock and offers eight private video booths for previewing potential purchases. "Our expansion comes on the heels of Pornhub's 2023 report on the most searched term among Marylanders last year. We aim to please," said owner Michael Schwartz. Lovecraft takes over the location that was the longtime home of Leisure Luxury Lubes.
