New MoCo Neighborhood Magazines Debut
Discover the reality of Montgomery County with four new magazines from Montgonion Media. Aspen Hill Living, White Oak Living, Wheaton & Glenmont Living, and Burtonsville Living are community-focused magazines dedicated to exposing lower income life for wealthier residents who think impoverished neighborhoods are exclusive to PG County.
The new magazines are published under a $150,000 Neighborhood Parity Grant from the Montgomery County Department of Residential Community Enrichment. NPG's provide funding to bring nice things to lower income county neighborhoods too.
"Potomac Living, Kentlands & Lakelands Living, and Clarksville Neighbors magazines--move out of the way, there's a new game in town," said Nate Peyser, editorial coordinator. "No namby-pamby, AI-written, Hallmark-pukey content here. Just real narratives about real struggles."
Through heartbreaking stories, local business closing news, and event shooting reports, the magazines bring readers closer to what makes these Montgomery County neighborhoods unique. "Join us as we showcase the people, places, and experiences that people zoned in W schools disregard," Peyser said.
The new magazines will be produced quarterly in 2025. Previews of the January edition covers were debuted today.
