Best Food Trucks for Blowin' Mud in MoCo
This past summer we shared that two Montgomery County food trucks were cited by the health department after links to foodborne illness. Our staff tried both, as well as a few that readers said to avoid, and made our decision for The Montgonion's favorite mud blow inducing meal in MoCo.
Like any “best of” or favorite lists, experiences will vary widely. However, we align with the health department in awarding the top spot to El Sabor Latino at the Sunoco on Georgia Avenue in Aspen Hill. Although it was the last food truck we visited while already dehydrated, our liquified experiences quickly created consensus.
When the health department reports were released in the summer, we set out to explore both cited establishments and expanded our list based on negative feedback. We discovered that nearly all the mentioned venues produced impressive butt squirts, but El Sabor Latino truly distinguished itself. The sound was exceptional on its own, and the accompanying smell cleared the house.
Since 2023, El Sabor Latino has served the Aspen Hill community with tainted culinary creations. Food & Wine writes, “The heaping portion of wilted cilantro wasn't enough to mask the sweet, pungent odor of pork past its prime.”
