New and Coming Soon to Burtonsville Crossing
Property management company EDEN has announced further expansion to Burtonsville Crossing Shopping Center. Mattress & More Liquidators joins the revitalized retail center this month.
Under a $3 million preservation grant from the Maryland National Park and Planning Commission and a matching contribution from the Burtonsville Society of Chiropractors, Mattress & More Liquidators will move their entire 22,800 sq. ft. “Bedding Barn” building to the opposite corner of Rt 198 and Rt 29 in South Fulton, Maryland.
Local residents are thrilled to hear about the relocation. “This is one of the few remaining examples of 1960s farm building-shaped furniture store architecture,” neighbor Harry O’Shea told Greater Greater Washington.
On social media, South Fulton residents waxed nostalgic about the iconic retailer remaining in the community. "It's where I first fell in love with the Hagerstown School Bus driver, Carly Hands. We sat in their massage chairs and stared up at the ceiling stains, dreaming of a world Beyond Burtonsville," reminisced Burtonsville Poet Laureate Katie Susman.
Mattress & More Liquidators in Burtonsville Crossing will hold its grand re-opening April 9, hosted by Make East Montgomery Golden Again PAC founder Dave Golden and local business owner Robin Ficker. The first Store Closing sale begins April 10th.
